Apple Pie Smoothie

1 Frozen Banana
½ peeled apple
8 oz apple juice
½ teaspoon cinnamon
pinch nutmeg

Blend. Control the consistency by adding more or less chopped apple. Do not blend too long or you will have a nice warm Apple pie smoothie. Which is pretty good also!
This video explains a few benefits of why using green smoothies benefits your health.  Don't forget, whatever green smoothie recipe you use, add a handful of micro greens to put your body in high gear.
This a fun recipe I found on the internet.  It uses Heart Healthy Walnuts and utilizes the benefits of soaking/sprouting the nuts.

Pear Walnut Pancakes

This is a great recipe for breakfast, or you can try it out during the afternoon or evening to spice things up.

You will need:

  • 1 ripe pear
  • 1 cup walnuts (soaked for 6 hours and then drained)
  • 1 cup pine nuts
  • 1/3 cup maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
The directions:

Add all the ingredients to your blender and blend until you have created a smooth batter, without noticeable lumps. On a solid dehydrator sheet, pour dollops the size of silver dollars. Place in your dehydrator for about 6 hours, or until one side is dry. Flip the pancakes over and repeat until the other side has dried.
